2009 Means Challenge and Change 2008 year has been a challenging year for all businesses as the economy takes a serious dip and a new President takes office with new ideas. policies and changes to come for large and small businesses. Now more than ever it's important to pay attention to business and details of keeping your business stable and solid through these tough times.
GLAA recognizes these time of change and will accordingly take the opportunity in 2009 to change and refocus itself to the "new" business environment and challenges facing shop owners.
GLAA will refocus on two key areas of Shop Management... first is the area of financial control and cost savings and the second is the exploration of the "new" technologies available to reach and service current customers, and increased opportunities for contacting and recruiting new customers to grow your business.

Earlier 3rd quarter results indicated a good year in process, but 4th quarter reflected some impacts from workers comp injuries and settlements. Results will be calculated after year-end based on our now calendar year program. The continuation of outstanding management and safety performance of GLAA member shops is what contributes to our record of excellent dividend performance over the years. Since
State Auto received the endorsement of GLAA 7 years ago, the program has
returned a total of more than $675000 in dividends to GLAA Members (an average
of $96500 yearly). As
we go forward together the prospects are favorable for continued dividends and
we urge you to recommend the program to other strong shop owners you know so
they can save on their insurance costs and enjoy the great specialized coverage
