Association Objective

To serve as a non-profit, cooperative, voluntary organization for owners and operators of automotive service businesses, including businesses that repair and service automobiles and those that sell automotive accessories and automotive parts in Michigan and the Great Lakes States. 

 Mission

  • To bring together and promote communication and exchange of information, ideas and resources among persons engaged in automotive service businesses.

  • To promote and provide management education and development among owners and operators to improve their skills in business management, operations and practices.

  • To promote continuing education and technical training among owners, operators, employees and prospective employees to assure the delivery of quality service and products to customers.

  • To serve as a buying group for services and products beneficial to members of the association.

  • To promote and educate members in safety and the prevention of injury and property damage.

  • To promote and foster sound and ethical business practices among persons engaged in the automotive service business.

  • To inform and influence media, regulators, legislators and the public regarding the common interests of GLAA Members.

  • To foster good relations between the general public and automotive service businesses.

  • To promote good citizenship and serve the interests of our communities
